Stoorage ("we", "us", "our") operates an online marketplace connecting people who need storage space with hosts who have space to rent, at stoorage.eu and stoorage.gr. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Data we collect
Account data (name, email, phone, date of birth for age verification), profile data (avatar, bio), listing data (location, photos, pricing) if you're a host, usage data (pages visited, device/browser info), and communications (messages sent through the platform).
Why we collect it
To create and manage your account, to operate the marketplace (matching renters with hosts, processing bookings), to verify you're 18 or older, to communicate with you about your account and bookings, to comply with legal obligations, and to improve our service.
Legal basis
We process your data based on: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), your consent (e.g. marketing emails), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
We share data with service providers who help us operate the platform: Supabase (database and authentication hosting, EU-based infrastructure), Google Maps (location display), and, once payments launch, Stripe (payment processing). We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we anonymise your data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep financial records for tax purposes (up to 7 years under EU law).
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, request a copy of your data (portability), object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
Age requirement
Our service is only available to users aged 18 and over. We verify this during account setup.
